28 students and teachers die in attack on school in Syria

                                  article
Summarize: In a school in Syria, 28 students and teachers were killed in an attack. By doing this attack the attackers went against war rules. Russian attackers deny that they were the ones that attacked the school. This school is only one of the 38 schools that were attacked in Syria. The attacks that happened in these schools left 3 of the schools unusable because of all the damage. America, although unsure if Russia actually initiated the attack, has valid reason to assume so.

Connection: This connects to what we are learning about because something has to be done in order to help the Syrian civilians. These attacks and this war can lead to bigger things that can soon involve different countries.

Questions:
1) Do you think it was Russia that attacked this school?
2) What can be done to help these schools recover from these attacks?

  1. Why would the Russians attack Syrian schools if they're working with the Syrian army? Is the Syrian army attacking Syrian citizens? I don't know much about the Syrian conflict

  4. It may have been Russia, but there are many radical groups in the area it could have been. I am not sure the united states should get involved in Syria.

  5. No because the Russians are allied with the Syrian government. What could be done is to donate money and rebuild their school community

  6. We can't really assume that it was Russians who attacked them unless we know the truth (and from what I know they work with Syrians so why would they do that). All things aside, I hope they recover from such terrible attacks. It's a shame that there are people that get dragged in to something they have zero involvement on.

  7. Russia and Syria are allies so it would be pointless for one to attack another. They should have supplies donated to reconstruct schools.

  8. I think it could be Russia, but there is a lot of other groups around there that it could have been. i am sure there is more evidence to prove that it was them.

  11. Russia didn't attack the school they're defending Syria so their allies. That's why we're going to war with both of them. We're not going to do anything to help Syria since we're the ones attacking them.
